DARREN MICHAELS: Cumulo

Primarily I play solo bass and have released three albums doing such. There's green (2002) & equilibrium (2004). My third album, Cumulo, was just released in November 2008! It's about clouds...sort of. There's lots of bass on it. Plus, I sing. Click on the CD Baby Button above to check it out!

Aside from the solo thing, I play in a rock band called Cinetrope (www.myspace.com/cinetrope) and freelance in a lot of different styles.

You can also bump into me occasionally at Atlanta Bass Gallery as I work there part time.

Drop me a line. I'm very friendly, but I won't ask you to view my webcam or purchase any pills that make you prouder of your bathing suit area. Have a nice day.

Hi Darren,

thanks for including me in your friends list! I really enjoyed your playing.I've been playing bass for little while now, but I definitely will not quit my day job. I am the confessed fretless junkie and I'm involved in an endless quest to develop my intonation. my primary instrument is a five string fretless Cirrus Peavey. also have a five string fretted Schecter stiletto.

keep on playing man; you do great work.

Thanks for the friendship, Ed. That's a cool axe you're sportin'

Hello Darren thanks for the return comment. Yeah the Bass is a Epiphone Goth Thunderbird model. I really not into the goth movement, but I got this bass about 2 week ago it was used and I got it for $130.00 It a 399.99 bass. So I just could not pass on this bass the neck is slender and fast I reset the thruss rod and set the intonenation and it just a pleasure to play. Can't wait for Dec 5 that our next gig to really see what it could do. I'll let you know! I also have a Epiphone EB-3 and My daughter learning on a Epiphone EB-0 ( I love Epi's and Gibson) Talk to you late my friend
Ed (Moondog) Miller.

Oh sure with Pro tools and all you can do pretty much anything you want from home I suppose.

I'm hearing a lot of the same from other folks with that unit!

Thanks for the kind words. I know a lot guys that are doing "studio" work from there home studios. With high speed internet it doesn't matter where they live...as long as they can get a connection and network with other players...

Actually I do use it a lot, but I only use a few patches such as chorus/delay and distortion.  Not worth the price in my estimation.  I would much rather have a pedalboard.

Dude, I'm diggin' your stuff! You are a great bassist.  I wish I could get some people to hear me, I really think I ama good enough player to do freelance work and studio stuff also.  Just stuck in this small town in Texas for now though. LOL
