Title: Free Clinic For Bassists and D
Description: The Chicago Rhythm Collective (http://www.chicago-rhythm.ning.com) will be hosting a FREE clinic for bass players and drummers. This clinic will be held on Saturday, November 7th, 2009 from 1pm to 3pm at CPE Sound (http://www.cpesound.com) in Chicago. The first hour of the clinic will be dedicated to injury prevention for bass players and percussionists. The presenter will be the renowned author and hand injury prevention specialist Dr. Randy Kertz (http://www.drkertz.com/buy_book.html). A question and answer period will be set aside at the end of this session. The second hour will be presented by Chicago bassist Will Howard (http://www.myspace.com/willhoward1) and Chicago drummer Ben "Jammin'" Johnson (http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/jazfunk). Topics covered will range from techniques to the development of grooves. Questions will be welcomed as well. This clinic is open to the public and will be FREE of charge. Please invite anyone you know that plays the bass or the drums.
