Important Rules, Tips, Fees and How to Get Started

By using this auction site you acknowledge that Bass Musician Magazine, the Bass Musician Magazine Community as well as the publisher, Venus Imaging Education, LLC do not endorse the sale or purchase of any item. We will not mediate nor be held liable or responsible for the authenticity or condition of any item bought or sold on this auction site. All payments are made directly through Paypal and both buyers and sellers must have a valid Paypal account. Any payment disputes must be handled directly with Paypal. By posting a listing or purchasing a listed item, you are agreeing to all of the above.

• List items that are in good, clean condition only. If there are any flaws or issues with the item, you must list this in your description of the item
• You must have a valid Paypal account to post an item
• We retain the right to cancel a listing at any time as well as remove a seller from the Bass Musician Magazine site at any time for fraudulent activity
• We do not allow the posting of:
  • Pornographic materials
  • Alcohol, wine, tobacco, medications drug paraphernalia
  • Charity or fundraising
  • Travel or Event tickets
  • Gift cards or coupons
  • Contracts and credit cards
  • Stocks
  • Stamps
  • Lottery tickets or gambling
  • MLM or Pyramid schemes
  • Real estate
  • Automotive
  • Recalled items & toys
  • Personal information of any kind including mailing lists
  • Hazardous, Restricted, and Perishable Items
  • Used cosmetics and toiletries
  • Human parts and remains
  • Animals or animal parts and remains
  • Medical devices
  • Stolen property
  • Surveillance or police equipment
  • Government documents or equipment
  • ANYTHING illegal, counterfeit or that which promotes illegal activity

Notes

• You have up to 24 hours once a listing goes live to make changes to it
• The minimum bidding increment is $1 and the maximum price for an item is $2500
• If you have never sold an item in an online auction it is usually best to start with a small, inexpensive item so that you can learn the process

Fees for Sellers

• Posting Fee: The cost to post a listing is only .25 cents and includes one FREE gallery photo
• Commission: If your item sells, we retain a 5% commission. If the item does not sell, you only pay the .25 cent insertion fee, and any upgrades (if applicable).
• Upgrades: We do offer a few upgrades for listings (ie. underline, bold, multiple images, etc.). Fees for these upgrades are posted directly on the "Sell New Item" page

To List an Item for Sale or Auction

• Click on SELL NEW ITEM in the auction area
• Verify/add your valid Paypal email address
• Choose a CATEGORY for your item
• Choose a SUB-CATEGORY for your item
• Add a PRODUCT NAME
• Decide if this is a BUY NOW item (no bidding required, you just state a price for someone to purchase it) and/or if this is an AUCTION item. If auctioning, you will be required to include a MINIMUM BID (the least amount you will accept for the item).
• Decide on the length of the auction
• For maximum results, include at least one photo of your item (1st photo is free!)
• Choose optional items in the DESIGN MY LISTING area to boost your listing presence
• Fill out the rest of your listing by including a SHORT DESCRIPTION and FULL DESCRIPTION. Make sure to include the following:
  • An accurate and honest description of the item and any flaws/defects
  • Your return policy
  • How the item will be shipped
    
• Communicate with your buyer directly after the sale
• After payment has been successfully received, ship the item as outlined in your listing in a timely manner
