FRETLESS REVAMP
Posted On 04/04/2009 15:59:46 by BISCUIT
In case any of you were wondering what happened to my Spector fretless "Ruby"..... well, she has gone off for a revamp before being used on some of my latest tracks.

I originally defretted and prepared the fingerboard myself, and she played really well, but i was never 100% happy for some reason.

Anyway....to cut a long story short,i came across a great guy and luthier by the name of Paul Egholm who i met through my guitarist friend Alex .Paul has many many years of experience with making and repairing stringed instruments,so i took my beloved Ruby to let him have a look.

It appeared that Ruby was not quite as well and fabulously finished as i would have liked to believe ..ha ha.

Anyway Paul is working on the set up and fretboard at the moment to bring her up to Top speck and have her ready for recording on my up and coming tracks.

I will put out pictures of the finished job as soon as i get her back...... and i hope thats real soon as i miss her already... ha ha.
