Nick swears by his Warwick basses for the following reasons: "The feel of the necks caught my attention at first," he says. "The fretwork is very good and overall, the construction is very durable and roadworthy, which is good because I am very active onstage. And of course the sound! Did I mention how much I liked the sound of my Streamer?!" Nick also relies exclusively on Warwick amps. "I get a warm, big sound out of my Tubepath 10.1 head and pro series cabinets. It's amazing how much low end these amps are capable of."

Basses:
Streamer Jazzman (4-string)
Buzzard (4-string)
Katana NT (4-string)

Amp:
2x TubePath 10.1

Cabinets:
WCA 411 Pro
WCA 115 Pro
WCA 811 ND

Born in the port city of Camden, New Jersey, Nick Douglas, the son of a Navy father studied architecture before pursuing a career in music.
At age thirteen, he started learning the electric bass after being influenced by his mother's record collection of '70's soul, pop and rock music.
At age nineteen, Nick joined the New Jersey heavy metal band Deadly Blessing.
A year later they signed a record deal with Los Angeles-based heavy metal label, New Renaissance Records.
Their debut album, Ascend from the Cauldron, received commendable praise from the critics and is considered a collectors piece to this day.
The band toured the U.S. sparingly between 1988 and 1990.

Three years after joining Deadly Blessing, Nick left the band to pursue a new life and new sounds in New York City.
This led him to a few short-lived runs with such rock/metal groups like Hittman and The Cycle Sluts from Hell.

In 1990, shortly after parting ways with The Cycle Sluts, Nick landed the position as bassist for the female metal icon, Doro Pesch and has been playing with her ever since.
The other band members of Doro include: Joe Taylor (lead guitar), Johnny Dee (drums) and Oliver Palotai (keys and guitar).
Over the years Doro, Nick and the band have developed an energetic chemistry to be reckoned with.

Other artists Nick has played with include Blaze Bayley (ex-Iron Maiden), Chris Caffery (Savatage, Trans Siberian Orchestra) and Los Angeles based singer/ songwriter Sharlotte Gibson.

In early 2001, Nick released his first solo effort, "Through the Pane", a twelve-song semi-monolog mostly fueled by his early crossbreed of influences.
Swaying from rock to moody ballads, to technical and organic ambiences.
On November 27th 2006 "Through the Pane" was released throughout Europe on Painkiller Records.
To celebrate, Nick (along with band members, Joe Taylor, Johnny Dee and Oliver Palotai) performed a special live set the same evening as the release at the Hard Rock Cafe in Cologne, Germany.
"Through the Pane" continues to receive critic approval worldwide.
The title track "You're A Miracle" appeared on ABC's daytime soap "All My Children". Other tracks such as "Just One Kiss", "Away" and "The Last Goodbye" proved to be listeners favorites.
Nick is currently working on his second solo release.
