All in Due Time by Spiral Trance

Spiral Trance- All in good time

Rat Pack Records says:

All In Due Time combines ten beautifully scorched tracks into a single camera snapshot. It captures a band full of hunger and fire laying out their blueprint for the looming, infinite horizon ahead. Spiral Trance is the epitome of a band rooted in determination and persistence;performing as a finely tuned machine and continually working toward agroove that only occurs when energy is focused in solidarity. Thanks Bass Musician Magazine!

Hey everyone.  This is Andy, the bass player for Spiral Trance.  I just wanted to take a moment and thank Bass Musician Magazine for throwing our new album "All in Due Time" on their review forum.  I'm always interested to hear what people think about our music, as well as my bass playing.

Even though I'm in a metal band, my biggest bass influences have always been in other genres, particularly jazz.  Aside form Ryan Martinie of Mudvayne, I generally don't list ANY metal bass players in my top influences.  Usually I mention Jaco, Verdine White, Dave Holland, Fima Ephron, and Tony Levin.  Each of those players brings a very unique style to the instrument, and I try to incorporate everything I hear in what they're trying to say, and I develop it into something that works with my style and the genre I'm playing in.  Those who listen really close may hear some Jaco inluence in "Project and Release", or maybe some Dave Holland in "End this Lie."  You might not hear it, but it's there.

Thank you to everyone who responds!  All responses are appreciated, especially the negative ones.  LOL

Take care,

Andy

Absolutely Digging Spiral Trance!!

Success in the music business requires a magical combination of talent, perseverance and opportunity. So for the folks who don't kill time at work surfing the rock blogs and aren't hip to the hottest hard rock and metal out there, let me introduce you to Spiral Trance.  With their sophomore album, the first with their label, Rat Pak Records, entitled 'All In Due Time', they show us what can happen when you produce a well written, lyrically strong offering.  The album shows their continued growth and developed maturity and something about the music just pulls you in. 'All In Due Time' is a solid effort and has tons of excellent musicianship!!  It also has plenty of hard rock energy and makes for good listening, with lots of jump up and down moments.  Favorites include the hard hitting "Dead Set", "Man Up", "Lard Ass" and the bands lead-off single "The Me You See".  Hell, there isn't a song I don't like on this album!  It is surprisingly well-developed with an energetic and refreshing sound and
