I have several Electric Basses, all 4 stringers. I have a Lotus, a B.C. Rich NJ Warlock, an American Fender Jazz Bass and a Washburn Bantam Bass with whammy bar. I also a Carlo Robelli acoustic Bass and an old Kay upright as seen in my photo.
I had some wierd name amp when I got my first Bass, which was the Lotus. I have no idea what kind it is though. Now I use Ampeg amps. I traded a friend some stuff for a BA115 many years ago, but within the past few years I've managed to buy a SVT-610 HLF Cabinet and a SVT-6Pro Head.
I sometimes use some effect pedals when I'm in the mood to mess with everyone. I use a Dunlop Dimebag Crybaby from Hell, a MXR DD-11 Dime Distortion Pedal and a Zoom 607 Bass effects pedal. Why Dimebag effects? Because Dime freakin' rules!

Well, I'm on FaceBook and MySpace too, but should it matter if we are all here together? My band has a MySpace page too if you want to hear our crappy little demo we did back in 2005. Not the greatest of our efforts, but it's something I guess.

I play in a band with 3 of my friends. The band's name is Thick Dave and the Fungus. Sounds wierd at first, but it grows on you a bit. We've been together for about 4 years now. We don't play bars or anything, we just jam out our favorite songs for ourselves and our friends. We mostly play Blues and Rock, but we do have some original songs that we do as well. Basically, we play what we want and have a good time doing it.
I've also played in a few other bands over the years as well. I was in a cover band with some friends for awhile, but after we did one show everyone went their own way. It was fun while it lasted though. I've also played in a Bluegrass band with my brother-in-law. It was also a good time, but ultimately it didn't work out for everyone. It was a great experience and more fun than I thought it would be.

I hate it when I see anyone playing Bass with a pick. It iritates the hell out of me. To each their own, but I've always felt that if you need a pick, you should be playing a Guitar. I hate the scraping sound it makes on the strings and to me, the Bass sound terrible (if it makes any sound at all) when it has a pick used on it. Plus, there are WAY to many bands who use the Bass as a 3rd Guitar and it has no definition at all. It's coincidence that most of these bands that I've seen have pick playing Bass players too. Or is it?

I've been playing Bass since somewhere around 1991. I haven't played constantly through all these years, but I've been more dedicated the last 6 years. I always try to improve on any aspect of my playing. I'm a decent player who is mostly self-taught. I took lessons here and there throughout the years, but never could find what I'm really looking for in that department.

Cliff Burton! When I got Cliff 'em All! for Christmas in '91 I knew instantly I wanted to buy a Bass. Cliff has been my main source of inspiration, but over the years I have opened my eyes and ears to other great Bass players like Geddy Lee, Novy, Jaco Pastorius, Steve Harris, Les Claypool, James Lomenzo, Geezer Butler, ICS Vortex and many, many more!
